The project's main backer at the time, A-Line, was an artist, Matt Molloy, whose work includes the series of classic rock opera shows, along with his very own collection of animated music. The next day, Matt began an interview with Molloy in his bedroom, talking about his creation.
Later that night, The Times picked up on the story, with the description that the piece was for people who don't even own a piano, and then decided to make a donation to raise money to pay to make this work available!
For a year and a half, Molloy's work for these three shows has been used to draw the show's main characters on the stage, and their appearances in the story. It's been used extensively throughout, with Matt and his wife, A-Line, using some of their own money to fund new and better artwork from their home studio! This month Molloy and his family put together a small grant and support fund to make the show a reality.
Molloy's art for this project has been used in a range of performances, including the series finale of 'Comet's Dance' which featured Matt's favourite tune.
